Twice a year day and night are balanced. Equal light and dark. The equinox is brief and the seasons bring their changes. More than the seasons, or light and dark, attempt to find harmony instead of tension. When hiking, I’m aware of trail maintenance minimizing human impact while preserving wilderness. Language, which is always in motion, is currently adjusting to express gender inclusivity. Interactions, from chance meetings to trusted friends, often engage through an adaptation of listening and giving voice.

I’ll have to return to Halifax for more exploring. I enjoyed an entire day at the Citadel, and then drove around Ferguson Cove. Hope all is well with you and your family.
